Epilogue to Bab Jenazah

When a person is in nazak
1. Talgin
- do not say: " Say! Lailahailallah " because people are usually rebellious in nature and will tend to say "no! I do not want to say "
- instead just recite " lailaha ilaha illallah" and pause, then repeat again. Do this until you see the person moves his lips affirming so or his finger is straightened like in tashahud, then stop repeating. If the one in nazak say something other than la ilaha illallah, do the above again.
- afdhol for the person who talgin to be a non-inheritor of his wealth.
-the prophet(s) said:
Man kana akhir kalamihi La ilaha illallah dakhala al-janna.
"Whoever breathes his last with the words: La ilaha illallah, enters Paradise."
- it is said that when imam muslim was narrating :
man kana akhir kalamihi la ilaha illallah
he passed away. Then one one of his students who was listening finished the hadith by saying
dakahala al-janna

2. place siwak that is dipped in water into his mouth
- because someone in nazak is very thirsty. It is said that even if he is given water as much as the ocean, it will not satisfy him.

3. read surah al-mulk
- if one still has umur, this surah is like a medicine
- if one is about to die, this surah will ease the soul from leaving the body

4. recite yasin

note: wasiyya to be done when still healthy, not when nazak

when a person pass away:

1. close the eyes, because the eyes follow the soul

2. straighten the legs, tie it to close the gaps in between the toes

3.anything heavy place on the stomach: dead person easy for air to enter the body.

4. lie straight, leg facing qiblah

5. tie head to prevent mouth from opening.

when does the door of taubah close?
  1. when nazak
  2. when the sun rise in the west
